Happy Valentine’s Day! In celebration, I thought we’d share a little lovin’ with our favorite aerialist of all time: Christine Van Loo. She is sweet, warm-hearted, a wonderful coach, an inspiring performer, and she recently made a visit to AerialDancing.com Headquarters. Yay! Christine was in town for a performance with Cirque de la Symphonie and we snagged some time with her. We filmed several new moves and some sequences that will be posted over the next couple months. In fact, the first one is up as of today! For those with a paying membership, check it out here. (Please note: you must be logged in to your paying account for the video link to work.) Allie Cooper Visits
This month an awesome thing happened: Allie Cooper came out here to Charleston, South Carolina to participate in a mega-filming weekend for AerialDancing.com. With her momentum expertise, I was beyond thrilled that she wanted to join the collaboration! So, out she flew, crossing the country for a weekend of aerial nerd-outs and videoshoots that can put stamina to the test. Here’s a little bit of the fun that happened while she was here: Continue reading “Allie Cooper Visits”

You may recognize the picture above from a blog I posted a few years back. These pictures were taken in February and August of 2011. I am about to make that very same journey this year once I have this baby, and so I am encouraged by hearing other “returns to aerial after a break” stories. Ryah Cooley is one of those aerialists who have a story to tell. If you are also one of those who took a break for any reason, be encouraged! If it feels hard, you’re not alone. Read below as Ryah shares from the heart. Continue reading “Took a Break? Returning to Aerial Shape”
