croissant (hip key hang)

Apparatus: Rope
Level: Level 2
Description:

In this video Rain shows 2 variations of the hip key hang. The first variation is known as croissant. It gets it names from the way the rope weaves around the body. The last little catch of the foot on the rope is easy to miss, so keep an eye out for it. In the second variation, look for where the leg is placed in relation to the rope - watch for how it goes in front.

While this move is fairly simple, it is a little weird in the way that it twists the body and can sometimes be hard for beginners to climb out of. That's why it is included as an intermediate move.

This move is covered in detail in the Aerial Rope Manual Volume 1
